My name is Kiara. I’m a 24 year old, self-taught photographer. When I'm not behind the camera or at the computer, you can usually find me on the farm spending time with my partner Nathan or doing some type of running
I’m a bubbly, down to earth people person when I’m in my element as a photographer and I’m here to capture the real and authentic memories that weave your story together. This job is the only one in the world that I have done that fills my cup rather than drains me. I have always had a love for photography from the moment I could understand the value of a photo. The idea of getting to keep a memory that was gone forever drew me in like you wouldn’t believe.
I love the idea of a slow life but for right now, everything is a little fast paced.
My aim is to capture you and your loved ones, just as you are, and give you memories to keep that truly do last a lifetime. I can promise you two things during our time together, one that your experience will be relaxed, fun and you will feel 100% comfortable to be you. And two, we will create memories that truly encapsulate the love you share with the people closest to you.
I absolutely cannot wait to meet you and get to know you and your loved ones, so we can capture the memories you want to keep forever.
A look into our life
My ‘WHY’
If there is one thing I know, it’s that my love for photos has always been well and truly apart of who I am. I remember the very beginning of my journey and the moment I truly understood the value of photos, I would be the one taking my disposable camera to camp, and from then to now always being the friend that pushes people into photos or grabs out my phone just to capture each special moment. I always looked for the little details in moments and tried to tell a story of the love that was shared or the fun that was had. I wanted people to know what it felt like to do what I was doing.
This carried into my adult years where I would scroll photographers instagrams just to get that small adrenaline rush that I got from looking at the true and raw emotions in their work. I wanted to document this more than I could ever explain. After the loss of my Nanna, I can’t even put into words how important I think it is to just get in the frame. You will not know the value of photos until they are all you have left and for me I miss so many of the ones I don’t have. And whilst, I don’t have these memories I’m here to tell you that you should. The passing years, moments and memories deserved to be documented just as they are, to cherish and hold onto forever long into the future.
