Love, pain and everything in between
A family that has been through it all, experiencing life in its full glory, through love, pain, heartbreak, joy and everything in between. There story brought tears to my eyes and so did every single touch I put on their final gallery. I witnessed firsthand just how much these memories meant to this family and the strength of their bond. They've been through it all, things that will forever make them stronger as individuals and stronger together.
When Kenz reached out to me about capturing these memories I was so beyond touched and excited to capture this beautiful girl gang. Kenz relationship with her grannie was the highlight of this for me and brought so many tears to my eyes throughout the session and in every other process leading up to sending this gallery off to it's forever home. She had in the past and throughout the lead up to this expressed to me that her grannie is her whole world and how the effects of the harsh reality that life is has brought her family so much closer together. They wanted to capture these moments to remember that despite it all, they have each other. Their bond and interactions truly melted me and I can't express the immense courage they have for showing up each and every day as happy as they are. This session was goosebump worthy and one to remember.
As we watched the sun go down, a tiny moon made its appearance and a butterfly flew directly through one of our shots, whilst it was too quick for us to capture on camera, it reminded me that the people we love are never too far away even if we can't see them.
I am flooded with emotion every time I remember these humans and it always reminds me just how deeply precious it is to capture these years with your grandparents and loved ones. Life is way too short, don't miss it.
