Luke & Meikia
I met Luke & Meikia in my ultimate private location with the dreamiest of grassy paddocks where we were blessed with the softest, creamiest lighting from the overcast day. In the lead up to Meikia and Luke’s session we had so any unknowns around the weather. We were pretty much prepared for anything other than an absolute downpour. This weather left us with the opportunity to use umbrellas after some discussion and shared inspiration when we thought it might rain.
I instantly knew that these two were made for each with the way they interacted and just melted into their session. We shot in multiple spots on the farm and spoke about the moments that led them to this moment, being engaged. It was authentic, lighthearted and truly made them feel comfortable in their session.
I think that it’s important to acknowledge that the most perfect images come from you just being you, relaxed and truly just loving on the people closest to you. It’s not the most posed photo that brings out the emotion, it’s the unposed, uninitiated moments that truly show the authentic, genuine and real love that makes your love between you and your partner so true to you.
Meikia and Luke were the epitome of this. The way that Luke admired Meikia and just followed her lead in every idea and moment truly created a session that was completely their own. It’s one of those connections I’m constantly talking about and you can feel it in every image from the gallery.
